DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

The Lead Person position includes the responsibility for leading others in the manufacturing of product, including but not limited to shipping and receiving, filling, and packaging machine operations.  Lead Person is accountable for leading others in the manufacturing of Coca-Cola products in accordance with product specifications and conformance to quality standards of the Company.

Function Specific Activities –

·  Understands the process associated with Filler/Packaging//Palletizing/Forklift/CIP/Sanitizing and all other product manufacturing related operations and equipment.
·  Direct the work of others as needed to staff manufacturing/production floor and warehouse areas.
·  Ability to use computer and any programs or applications as required.
·  Work cooperatively with Materials Management, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Departments.  Assist in resolving matters that affect the efficient and effective operations of the facility.
·  Notify Supervision and/or Managers in matters concerning production, personnel and equipment matters.  Recommend the hire, discharge and discipline to Supervision and/or Management.
·  Facilitate raw materials as needed.
·  Direct the movement of product, filled containers and raw materials to proper storage.
·   Recommend preventive maintenance measures.
·  Comply and lead compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Policies and Procedures, and Coca-Cola Quality System procedures.
·  Record inspection requirements and data on provided forms.
·  Ensuring the accuracy of all paperwork associated with Inbound/ Outbound shipments
·  Work Collaboratively with Customer Service, Material management, Quality, and Production Departments to resolve issues
·  Ensure Monthly Inventory reconciliations are completed
·  Assist Supervision in Ensuring that employees are complying with all job duties, PPE, GMP, and Safety policies
·  Training of new associates
·  Perform and evaluate training of associates.
·  Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions.
·  Excellent attendance required.
·  Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
·  Ability to work extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
·  Move and lift material weighing 50 pounds to distances of 10 feet or more, floor to waist.
·  Ability to hand stack cases of product from floor to over head weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively up to 8 hours.
·  Ability to squat and bend over at the waist.
·  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in temperature extremes on a daily basis up to 12 hours.
·  Any other duties as assigned to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes and work environment.

Job Requirements – The following is a listing of minimum indicated requirements for this job.

·  Education - High School diploma or GED equivalent
·  Related Work Experience – One to five years or more experience in a Warehouse position, preferably in lead or key role. 
·  Must demonstrate proficiency in Word and Excel. 
·  Working knowledge of material handling environment and machinery.  Ability to trouble-shoot warehouse related problems.
·  Ability to recognize material and product defects and rectify in accordance with policy.
·  Ability to use computer system, often for extended periods of time, and accurately and efficiently input and interpret data in SAP.

Function Specific Knowledge and Skills –

·  Database and System Knowledge – The knowledge and skills required to access and collect data via Company-approved databases or the Internet.  This includes the ability to complete electronic forms, produce accurate reports, conduct investigative research, explain data and communicate results.  This includes maintaining current knowledge and keeping up with new releases.
·  Inventory Management – Optimize inventory levels using statistical models to design min/max/reorder levels.  Knowledge of asset management procedures, policies and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates (e.g., balance inventory levels against inventory carrying costs.
·  Business Etiquette - Ability to communicate with others, via telephone or in person, in a professional and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport.  This includes the ability to understand, be diplomatic and tactful, demonstrate appropriate behavior in social situations and maintain composure in negative circumstances in order to achieve results.
·  Requirements Planning – Ability to plan materials and service requirements in order to support ongoing business.
·  Resource Knowledge – Knowledge of internal and external tools and resources available to accomplish tasks and achieve results.
·  Knowledge Transfer – Ability to learn and train others on the use of Company-related or department-specific equipment and assets.  This includes the ability to present information in a logical manner and check for understanding to ensure transfer of knowledge and skills.
·  Manufacturing Equipment Operation - Ability to operate standard manufacturing and other job related equipment (e.g., check weigher, filler, scales, computer applications, labeler, mixing tank, and palletizer).
·  Heavy Equipment Operation - Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, man-lift).
·  Troubleshooting - Ability to identify and resolve process, system and/or mechanical failures (e.g., dispensing equipment, manufacturing equipment, software tools, supplier network, parts return, order flags).
·  Good Manufacturing Practices - Knowledge of the basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing environment and the ability to apply them.
·  Hand Tools - Ability to use common hand tools and small power tools (e.g., screw drivers, hand drills).
·  Mechanical Service Repair - Knowledge and application of equipment repair principles and Company standards associated with equipment maintenance.
·  Clean In Place - Knowledge of the Company’s Clean-in-Place (CIP) policies and procedures and the ability to perform the associated tasks (e.g., physically entering tanks, heavy lifting, handling large hoses and hot water).
·  Documentation Management -  Knowledge of the principles of documentation management to define and manage changes to the intellectual property, project agreements, supplier agreements, The Coca-Cola Quality System (TCCQS), engineering documentation, capital assets, equipment authorization and/or packaging.
·  Security Management - Knowledge of the security systems and services applicable to the specific location and the ability to apply the Company’s security policies in an appropriate and cost-effective manner.
·  Training - Knowledge of training requirements, standards and guidelines.  Includes the ability to apply individual and group technical training techniques.  Ability to translate technical information for the appropriate audience (e.g., business, technical) and evaluate training effectiveness.
·  Transportation Regulations - Knowledge of the Company, local, national and international transportation and hazardous materials regulatory requirements that apply to Company locations or processes and the actions required to keep the Company in compliance with these regulations.

Job Location and Work Conditions

·    Work is performed in all areas of a production facility, including off-site warehouses.  Work is of non-repetitive nature and requires exposures to temperature extremes, moderate noise levels, moving equipment, wetness, chemicals, ingredients, fumes, dust, and vibrations.
·  Work is performed on flexible shifts.  Manufacturing facility subject to extreme heat and cold.  Multi-shift operation.
