JOB SUMMARY:
Runs product development projects assigned by line manager.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works on assigned projects:
- Accountable for on time delivery of projects as per agreed project development brief.
- Able to make routine decisions independently. Consult his line manager as appropriate on key milestones & general guide-lines.
- Has a good overview of system dynamics: Concentrate part model, bottler-franchise operating model, value chain, Busi-ness unit structure,…
- Able to translate consumer test results and sensory attributes into winning product propositions
- Able to resolve technical challenges
- Able to identify areas of improvement on product development, process, communication routines, …
Communication:
- Lead the communication between R&D & the project team (project status, communicate potential issues, potential hur-dles) with the buffer of the account manager as appropriate.
- Be an active member of R&D Brussels.
- Proactively provides advice within R&D community and project stakeholders.
Technical task:
- Development of prototypes at lab scale
- Production of samples at the pilot plant of both beverage base parts and final products
- Filling accurately internal databases for stability tracking, formula database, project management tools,…
- Precise description of manufacturing conditions
- Provide input of best practices for production of concentrate parts or finished products during production trials
- Follows and understands good lab practice (5S) and internal procedure

RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Working Experience:
• 2-3 years successful experience in product development in the beverage industry or 3-5 year successful experience in. food industry

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or Master (depending of the experience) in food science, chemistry or relative field.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY:
Fluent in English
Additional language is a plus.
