DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Operator at the Atlanta Beverage Base Plant is responsible for manufacturing and packaging Coca-Cola concentrate in accordance with product specifications and conformance to quality standards of the company. The position also is responsible for executing operational duties defined in the safety and productivity standards.    Multiple openings exist and may be filled across any available platform or work area. Depending on the work area, some or all of the following activities will be expected:

Function Specific Activities:

· Perform production activities for equipment set-up, package filling and labeling, and records retention using quality system guidelines in order to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
· Calculate production yields and scrap quantities in order to accurately record material usage variances.
· Weigh or measure and record the ingredients for batches according to specifications.
· Prepare (e.g., inspect, verify condition) all equipment used in the manufacturing process prior to use in order to ensure smooth, sanitary and safe operation.
· Clean and sanitize tanks using technology (e.g., computer-guided processes) and physical ability (e.g., washing the tanks) in order to maintain sanitary production equipment in manufacturing plant.
· Maintain the plant's manufacturing equipment in sanitary condition (e.g., clean and sanitize tanks and pipe routings, maintain conveyor belts, hook up and unload raw material delivery tankers, clean work areas) according to Company GMP policies and procedures in order to assure the quality of the manufactured product.
· Move raw materials and finished product (e.g., syrup, concentrate, parts, point-of-sale) within the production facility, using forklifts or other warehouse equipment in order to supply production and/or facilitate shipping.
· Perform final quality check/inspection for accuracy and visible damage prior to shipment.
· Inspect facility (e.g., production, warehouse, service/installation) to assure adherence to safety and operating policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) using Company policies and procedures.
· Hook drums lines to tank outlet, close and cap all outlets according to standard operating procedures to ensure proper flow of ingredients and proper tank utilization.
· Safeguard Company trademarks that standardize and protect all information surrounding confidential ingredients and flavors manufactured by The Coca-Cola Company in order to prevent breach of trademark security within the Company.
· Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products using established legal safeguards in order to prevent a breach of trademark security within the Company.
· Calculate production yields and scrap quantities in order to accurately record material usage variances.
· Weigh or measure and record the ingredients for batches according to specifications.
· Perform job in a safe manner and report all safety issues immediately to supervisor/team leader

• Available to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required. Have good attendance and punctuality
• Takes initiative and has accountability for the quality and effectiveness of own work. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Have working knowledge of production and warehousing. Able to safely operate a forklift and perform physical tasks including lifting and pushing /pulling (up to 55 lbs)
• Demonstrated commitment to development of skills. Works well in a team environment, across functional boundaries
• Able to identify equipment and operational problems. Perform basic trouble shooting tasks
• High Level of individual responsibility and initiative required
1 year of manufacturing shipping experience preferred.
