MBA Internship Overview
Honest Tea offers a summer internship for an enthusiastic and creative MBA student interested in gaining hands-on experience in a mission-driven, but commercially focused, consumer packaged goods company. The intern will be immersed in Honest Tea’s fast-paced, ever-changing environment with new and exciting challenges thrown their way each day. Ideal candidates are as comfortable with ambiguity as they are with structured processes. The position will report to the Brand Manager, Natural Channel and Mission.

MBA Internship Responsibilities
The MBA internship will be primarily focused on how to the Honest Tea brand can leverage its mission and heritage to engage and excite consumers. The intern will work alongside Honest Tea’s Sales, Operations, Marketing, PR and Graphics departments to develop a holistic understanding of the business and the brand. Key responsibilities:
• Lead the creation of the company’s annual Mission Report
• Develop a detailed launch plan for the Mission Report
• Assess the effectiveness of current non-profit partners and relationships (ROI)
• Provide a recommendation on future non-profit partnerships and initiatives
• Manage one-off mission-related projects with our non-profit partners
• Provide recommendations for Honest sustainability reporting & metrics

Interns are considered part of the Honest Tea-m, and as such are expected to participate in experiential marketing initiatives such as The Honesty Index, sample product at local events and attend trade shows, as needed.

Time Commitment & Location
Internship runs full time through the summer at roughly 40 hours per week (for 12 weeks) based out of the Bethesda, MD office.

Qualifications & Cultural Fit
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in understating how a for profit business can make a sustainable, positive impact on humanity and the environment. This candidate will also have strong writing, and appreciate the importance of Honest Tea’s unique brand “voice” and “look and feel.” This is a great opportunity to help an entrepreneurial enterprise continue its rapid growth and to learn about managing a company from many different angles.
