DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

GRIR Analyst

Performs accounting analysis activities for Accounts Payable.  Responsible for researching, clearing, and resolving aged GRIR variances.   Focuses on internal controls to ensure all processes and procedures are in accordance with Accounting regulations and Company policies.

Function Specific Activities:

· Analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP and Company policy.    Research and resolve any issues identified.
· Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts to source data and systems to ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded.
· Identify, classify, maintain and protect files, documentation, and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements.
· Consolidate, reconcile, review, and analyze financial information and documentation.
· Establish, maintain, and promote internal controls (e.g., adherence to Chart of Authority, separation of duties, etc.) to safeguard Company assets.
· Identify and help to resolve outstanding financial issues or inquires with appropriate HQ functions, field management.
· Conduct final check (e.g. check methodology, reasonableness, proprietary of information) of financial material prior to distribution.
· Purchase order review and balancing
· Communication of researched recommendations to vendor, clients and internal Accounts Payable associate.
· Work closely with Controls team  to identify training, process improvement, and enhancement opportunities associated with monthly report analysis of root causes.

Requirements:

· Fluent in English language
· SAP FI module
· Work location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
· Demonstrated competency in Accounting

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or CPA/CIMA or equivalent degree.

Related Work Experience: At least 2 years

Technical Skills:

· Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.   Knowledge of international, U.S. or local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).    This includes the ability to apply these principles and determine compliance with the principles.
· Reconciliation.   Ability to compare data from various data sources and identify inconsistencies or variances.
· Basic Accounting Principles.  Knowledge of basic accounting principles (e.g. debit and credit) around transactional processes (e.g., accruals, derivatives, benefit plans, and marketing programs).
· Basic Financial Analysis:  The ability to analyze financial data (e.g., validity of data including balance sheet account balance, P&L variance, volume trends, and return on investment.   This includes creating spreadsheets, explaining variances, identifying issues, and making appropriate recommendations.
· Customer Focus.   Making customers (external and internal) and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions;  developing and sustaining productive customer relationships;  creating and executing plans and solutions in collaboration with the customer.
· Financial Systems and Processes.  Ability to research financial systems and processes (e.g., journal vouchers, expense reports, vendor file) to resolve issues (e.g., missing expense checks, missing journal vouchers).
· Control Environment.  Ability to assess current controls to ensure that assets are safeguarded and that transactions are authorized, records, and reported.   This may include designing and implementing cost-effective systems and procedures properly.
