DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst will provide support in Global Finance Operations Planning and Business Analytics’ (GFO P&BA) core service areas – Management Reporting and Operating Expense Planning and Analysis (Employee Costs Planning and Other OPEX) to clients in Asia Pacific. 

Coordinate the relevant management reporting and planning governance or instructions from Corporate and Group Offices across the business units in the geography.

Identify and implement appropriate actions to standardize and simplify the existing planning and reporting process in GFO P&BA

·  Management Reporting
·  Support weekly volume forecasts process and submissions in Asia Pacific.
·  Prepare monthly reporting packages on volume and financials for the Client and update the related reporting dashboards for its management.
·  Prepare consolidated narratives of Actuals and Forecasts and provide business-related analysis/insights
·  Ensure that the submission of the Client’s financial forecasts (Budget and Rolling Estimates) is accomplished.
·  Evaluate and communicate impact of changes in forecasts assumptions and provide risk and opportunity analysis.
·  Coordinate the monthly discussions of forecasts and actual business results with the Client and applicable teams in the organization (i.e. OPEX Analysts)
·  Support additional financial reporting and analysis work required during forecasts periods.
·  Partner with the Client in ensuring compliance to key reporting deadlines from the Group Office(s) and Corporate)
·  Perform adhoc analysis work as required.
·  Operational Excellence (OE)
·  Coordinate with IT and other functional departments the resolution of any data and/or process issues relating to financial planning and management reporting system/tools (such as BPC, Compass and MR)
·  Ensure 100% compliance to the Service Level Agreements with the Clients;
·  Maintain a good metrics system by monitoring service level performance against the SLA elements on a monthly basis;
·  Identify and implement the appropriate actions to standardize and simplify the existing planning and reporting process in GFO – Planning and Business Analytics.
·  Maintain and update the related Reporting SharePoint site for relevant areas in management reporting
·  Work independently and supports team initiatives on OE.
·  Learning and Development / Others
·  Support the Asia Pacific Group Clients as a Power user and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the financial systems which the Company uses in planning and management reporting (ie EPM, BPC, Compass and FDW)
·  Conduct basic training on volume and financial systems (ei FDW) as necessary

What you need to be successful

A self-starter and can work well in a multi-cultural environment, with at least 5 years of business or financial planning and analytics experience preferably gained from a multi-national FMCG company.

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
·  CPA is preferred
·  Background on database applications and business analytics tools; MS Excel proficient
