DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

This role is to design high performing, cost effective BI solutions for multiple business functions within TCCC.  The Analyst / Developer is responsible for working closely with the business functions to seek clarification on the requirements (functional and technical) and design, implement solutions in alignment with the platform and development standards. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with several interfacing teams like third party development, platform, infrastructure and other solution groups involved in delivering end to end solution.

Additionally, the role is accountable for evaluating and performing POCs (proof of concept) on emerging technology stacks in data processing and visualization layers.

Responsibilities:

·  Work closely with service teams and business to drive clarity on functional and technical requirements
·  Work iteratively with the business teams by building prototypes/solutions to help articulate quality requirements wherever required
·  Collaborate with architects from platform and development teams to deliver end to end solutions in alignment with platform and development standards
·  Drive the implementation of solution with third party development teams
·  Stay current on leading technology trend in data processing, reporting and visualization space. Conduct POCs (proof of concept) aimed at evaluating tool capabilities and integration with other components in the stack

Responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements. Works as a team member along with the Project/ Engagement Manager, Business Analysts, and vendor's technical & development teams to deliver the complete solution for the end users. Become involved in a project at the time of its inception and remains involved throughout its lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, change management).

Scope

Required to work within a global matrixed organization which will provide demand from the central Global Service Teams ( Enterprise Performance Management, Finance, Marketing etc…) as well as the BU Leaders (NA, EU, LA, Pacific, EA, Eurasia etc…) while collaborating with other Shared services teams like Enterprise Architecture, Global Technology Group and Information Security & Risk Management

The role must have a proficient understanding of the following areas and technology stacks:

·  Big Data Technologies such as (BigQuery, Cloudera, Hive, HBase, Kafka, Pivotal, Redshift, Spark, Storm, Vertica, Yarn). Strong preference for Google BigQuery and DataFlow expertise.
·  BI Technologies such as SQL Server, Analysis Services, ELT/ETL tools - Talend a big plus.
·  Reporting & Analytics Suites such as Microstrategy, Tableau, Business Objects etc…
·  Working knowledge or experience with Restful web services

·  Review code artifacts, test and cutover plans to ensure complete traceability to requirements and compliance to best practices and standards
·  Conduct effective knowledge sharing sessions with application support team and lead root cause analysis on post go-live issues
·  Stay current on leading technology trend in data processing, reporting and visualization space. Conduct POCs (proof of concept) aimed at evaluating tool capabilities and integration with other components in the stack
·  Establish and document coding standards, guidelines, and best practices for development teams building solutions

·  Application Development Methodology: Ability to apply the standard TCCC application development methods covering the full development lifecycle (e.g., project preparation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support) to ensure solution quality and consistency of process.
·  Application Security Tools: Knowledge of and ability to use application security tools to design, implement and maintain user security profiles.
·  Basic Operating Systems: Knowledge of basic operating systems and all related aspects (e.g., system tools, management principles, platforms, software, hardware, related products and controls) required to design, implement and maintain infrastructure solutions.
·  Data Code Management: Knowledge of and ability to apply data standards, codes maintenance procedures and sales volume reporting processes to establish, maintain and ensure integrity of a repository of standard values and codes for use in TCCC global applications and for Corporate reporting.
