DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

Position Purpose:

Support and implement Brand strategies and tactics that lead to achievement of brand revenue, incidence, share and profit targets by leading cross-functional teams from ideation to execution. Be the key brand analyst for the team, mining for consumer and business insights that drive brand love and value. Support all key platforms for the Dasani TM including base water, flavored sparkling and drops as well as key package / channel expansion and development.

Candidate should bring/possess:

• Leadership skills and ability to steward brand initiatives designed to  deliver Dasani Trademark objectives through the path to purchase (consumer content to in-store execution)

• Passion for the brand and for the work of brand marketing

• Passion for holistic brand marketing and general management including commercial execution / levers.

• A basic but growing understanding of the bottler and retailer needs

• Ability to collect and synthesize consumer insights into actionable brand implications

• Growing ability to develop brand strategy based on key insights

• Analytical skills, and ability to use with proficiency the basic syndicated data tools

• Project management skills, including but not limited to budget and timeline management

• Strong competencies in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Function Specific Activities:

• Own Bi-monthly Operating Brand Business Review preparation and reporting process by coordinating data across functions as well as internalizing and acting on the key areas that require further investigation pre and post meeting.

• Update, analyze and synthesize insights that lead to strategy refinement and key program development as a part of the brand Situation Assessment process for annual business plan which identifies brand-building opportunities by utilizing key insights (e.g., Nielsen, internal cross-functional reports, consumer research reports, competitive analysis, etc.).

• Lead execution and ensure feasibility (e.g., supplier costs, capacity and capabilities) of key programs – consumer, shopper and commercial and lead timelines in order to properly execute key plan initiatives in the marketplace

• Own the annual brand DMI budget: tracking, optimization and day to day management

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
Master's Degree preferred

Related Work Experience:
2 or more years of experience in a brand-related role is required

Technical Skills:

• Syndicated Sources: Knowledge of syndicated sources (e.g., AC Nielsen, IRI, CCT+, Home Scan) used in the analysis of trended consumer and volume dynamics.

• Marketing Concepts: Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT Analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans.

• Creative Concept Evaluation: Ability to evaluate creative concepts and executions based on creativity, strategic alignment and consumer impact.

• Retail Consumer Trends: Ability to interpret consumer trends in order to design, create or evaluate graphic packages to be applied to assortments of retail licensed merchandise.

• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of and the ability to use basic financial analysis (e.g., Return on Investment, Value Chain Analysis) related to marketing effectiveness, resource allocations and new business opportunities.

• Commercial Acumen: OBBPC and pricing channel awareness
