DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

** Please note: There are 2 positions available**

This position will be responsible for the day-to-day execution at the Atlanta HQ Sensory Laboratories and with Sensory Panels.  Specifically, the Assistant Scientist will prepare for each day’s sensory tests and execute according to ISO 9001 principles.  The Assistant Scientist may also assist in production of product reference samples from lab bench scale to pilot lab to pilot plant productions. 

The Assistant Scientist will also provide additional support for any additional TCR Sensory related Programs, as required.

Functional Skills:

· Must have working communication skills including ability to write concise, informative reports and work with others, effectively.
· Must be able to listen effectively, follow directions and execute consistently.
· Must be hands-on, manage time effectively and be a good team player.
· Must be flexible with good level of attention to detail.
· Must be able to juggle multiple priorities at the same time.
· Must be an independent worker and able to be on their feet at least 3 hours at a time.
· Demonstrates basic knowledge of sensory methods.
· Demonstrates working knowledge in laboratory best practices.
· Demonstrates basic knowledge in fundamental food science.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Foods and Nutrition, Chemistry, Psychology, Biology.
