DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for building profitable volume of all VEB brands through expansion of outlet distribution, effective merchandising and superior execution of promotional programs with the local bottler/distributor. The ideal candidate works hard, is a self-starter, and is looking to be a part of an exciting, fast-paced, innovative company that’s making a difference.

Lead Activities:
- Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects

- Within assigned market, execute sales and marketing plans by assisting bottlers/distributors to develop appropriate action plans

- Secure new outlet availability, space and positioning by influencing bottlers/distributors and retail outlets through route rides, crew drives, independent trade days and local key account calls (as required)

- Provide ongoing communication of sales, marketing and executional opportunities with Regional Sales Manager and as a primary contact for all bottler/distributor sales management within assigned market

- Assist Regional Sales Manager with bill backs, budgeting and other duties as assigned

- Submit regular recaps outlining objectives, results, barriers and opportunities

Education
Diploma Require – Degree Preferred

Experience:

1 - 3 years’ experience in sales and management, preferably in the beverage and/or consumer products industry. Summer internship at a beverage company will be recognized favorably but not necessary.

Ability to travel and work long, flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required

Excellent driving record and insurance, required

Personal vehicle to use

Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively, internally, as well as with external contacts   

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Must excel in multi-tasking within a fast-paced organization

Works well both independently and as a team
