ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a strong candidate to fill a Knowledge Analyst position in the Operations practice area focusing on the Operations Centers. The candidate will be part of the Operations Centers that are covering the entire Central Europe, Middle East, Africa region by hosting consultants dedicated to operations work. Collectively, the centers support the following operations topics: manufacturing, services, supply chain, procurement, engineering and construction, and product development/R&D. The new team member must possess developed skills and knowledge in the Operations Centers topics, specifically in Services, gain a sophisticated understanding and application of Operations topic/sector knowledge for consulting teams, work with consulting teams on expert research and deliver original analysis and insights and provide thought partnership and expert source know-how to consulting and topic/sector teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with consulting teams

  • Partner with case teams to identify & address critical knowledge needs
  • Provide thought partnership and expert source knowledge
  • Provide original analysis and insights, customized for client work; prepares accurate, well developed documents and charts
  • With guidance from Knowledge Expert, network effectively with experts & consulting teams
  • Liaise with research team to ensure that appropriate research is delivered
  • Support and/or lead client training and workshops, and internal consultant training, related to Operations topics and tools (e.g. value stream mapping, lean principles)
  • Support experts in service performance health-checks
  • Support commercial efforts through participation in client pitches, marketing activities, proposals


Work with topic/sector teams in operations center

  • With consultants, collect, synthesize, analyze consulting team learning and contribute into knowledge products (vignettes, credentials, proposals and project materials)
  • Build and update new topic/sector-related customized knowledge products
  • Maintain Knowledge Management databases consistency
  • Collaborate on intellectual capital development
  • Contribute to content development around topic/sector for PA meetings & trainings


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or ideally Master's degree in Business Administration or similar with outstanding academic achievements
  • 1-2 years industry experience (preferably in Service sectors, e.g. financial services, telecommunications or in Service organizations) or 1-2 years Operations consulting experience or relevant internship experience
  • Good knowledge of Lean methodologies and tools
  • Excellent mastery of German and English, both verbally and in written
  • Good communications skills, ability to speak to large audience and moderate workshops
  • Collaborative, team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills, credible with consultants and clients
  • Solid analytical skills; ability to provide analytical advice
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment & operate effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong work ethic & service-mentality; ability to maintain discretion when needed
