Primary Purpose of the Role:

· You will lead the team performing TopSky ATC C Software Engineering activities. This will include working with SEMs and project managers to plan TopSky software development activities and enhancing the software and associated documentation to meet SWAL 3 / AL4 level.
· TopSky ATC C is a mature Air Traffic Management system with over 60 systems operational worldwide, but has been continually evolved and now includes advanced functionality. Most projects involve implementing minor changes (ECRs) to the standard product to meet specific customer needs, but a key part of this role will be enhancing the product software to meet the needs of the new Australian OneSky project over the next 3 years. The person performing this role will therefore need to gain a detailed understanding of the TopSky ATC C product.
Skills and experience

Essential

· ‘Hands on' team leadership with strong interpersonal skills.
· A thorough knowledge of software design / testing to SWAL3 / AL4 level.
Desirable

· Knowledge of Air Traffic Management systems and associated safety engineering would be very helpful for this role. e.g. Eurocontrol and SARG CAP670 standards.
· Experience of the full systems / software engineering lifecycle – The TopSky ATC team is a multi-skilled team and there are opportunities to be involved in other aspects of the design process.
Experience:
Essential

· Demonstrable experience of software development to SWAL3 / AL4 level, ideally using C/C++ and Ada languages
· Use of CM tools such as DOORS, JIRA, SVN or GIT working in an Agile development environment (Scrum Master)
· Use of MS Office tools
· Good written and verbal communication skills
