Job Title: Process and General Assembler
Location: Crossgar
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Negotiable + benefits including overtime, healthcare cash plan, pension, 201 hours annual leaver per annum, health insurance, life assurance, annual pay review and training.
Hours: 37 per week as standard – shift work evenings and weekends may be required.

Our site in Crossgar are looking for 2 Assemblers to join the manufacturing team to mechanically assemble and electrically test products in a team environment, ensuring products are manufactured to process and quality requirements.
Duties:
· Assemble products as per the production schedule with focus on quality, cost and schedule.
· You will carry out a range of tasks including mechanical assembly, electrical testing, basic soldering, product packaging, paint preparation, stores and material handling.
· Support continuous improvement projects.
· Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering & Management to ensure that safety, cost, quality and schedule are met.
· Ensure that tools, work instructions and equipment are maintained to standards
· Ensure the cleanliness of assemblies, work stations and general working area
· Ensure all work carried out adheres to departmental controls and procedures.
· Able to work without supervision and required to maintain records of production builds
· Assist in other areas of the site when required, to achieve production schedules Skills and experience required:
· Good GCSE grades or equivalent in Maths, Science and English
· Able to read basic engineering drawings
· Some knowledge of or experience in mechanical assembly
· Reliable team player, capable of working on own initiative within a team environment
· Willingness and flexibility to support activities at other Thales sites
