Thales people design solutions that enable two thirds of planes to take off and land safely. In the UK, our simulators train the next generation of pilots for fighter jets, transporters and search and rescue helicopters. As a Logistic Support based in Crawley, you'll be managing assets through the supply chain; to meet the logistic performance criteria of the projects within our naval portfolio. This is an opportunity to get into asset management, with a UK wide role that gives opportunity to mobilise throughout Thales sites.
Key responsibilities
· Manage and maintain an asset tracking inventory of the assigned assets to meet performance, availability, quality and delivery requirements
· Liaise on a day-to-day basis with the Crawley service centre team fostering an excellent working relationship in order to monitor repair progress and facilitate alleviation of delays
· Act as a central point of contact between the programme management team and the service centre for all issues relating to the assigned assets and their movement within the service centre
· Liaise with technical support personnel to ensure complementary asset management and technical support responses to the customer are achieved
· Identify and develop opportunities for reduction in service delivery costs via innovation and continuous improvements of the supply chain process
· Liaise with customer/user representatives as appropriate, to ensure project criteria are met.
Skills, qualifications and experience
· Experience of working in a supply chain or logistic role, military knowledge is desirable
· Export compliance knowledge and ideally exposure to ITAR
· Understanding of Open Asset
· A pragmatic and flexible approach to customer delivery schedules where additional working hours may be required at short notice
· A full driving license is essential for this role as visits to other UK Thales and customer sites will be required
· Articulate communicator
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
