Job purpose: An IVVQ Test Engineer is responsible for the design, conduct, and reporting of verification and validation activities for Thales Canada – Defence and Security division.

Main tasks:

· Perform structured testing techniques;
· Observe test guidelines and company internal processes;
· Analyze and provide feedback on requirements for Testability and validity
· Prepare requirements traceability matrices;
· Produce and maintain formal and informal Project test documentation such as Test Procedures and Test Reports ;
· Execute Integration/Verification, Regression, and Qualification tests for assigned project
· Develop Test Reports for Test Engineering activities.
· Raise and track defects;
· Verify resolution of defects.
· Evaluate test coverage and test results;
· Perform other related quality activities as directed and
· Use of CASE tools (e.g. Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Change Management).

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE

Eexperience with verification and validation testing which at least 3 in system testing.

Skills

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Strong organizational skills

Strong interpersonal skills.

Specific experience

3 years practical engineering experience in:

Data communications, Ip networking, Voice communications, Wireless system design, Satellite systems

Security/certification/accreditation, Intel/surveillance/reconn (isr), Command & control (c2), Electronic warfare, Navigation systems, Emc/emi/tempest (mil-std 461/iec 60533), Human engineering (mil-std 1472), Environment qual (mil-std 810/iec 60945), Iacs/imo based designs, Commercial marine systems, Gmdss, Bridge operations/integrated bridge systems (ibs), Coast guard or navy experience an asset.
