Our expertise ranges across protected mobility vehicles and integrated communications solutions for defence through to security solutions and systems integration for the commercial sector.
Thales Protected Vehicles exists to develop protected mobility vehicles, developing specialised products to meet specific requirements not catered for elsewhere. Our manufacturing, engineering and design operations are based in Bendigo, Victoria and we also have a major support facility in Brisbane, Queensland. Our products include the Bushmaster protected mobility vehicle, the recently developed Hawkei, survivability enhancement kits, engineering support services and vehicle maintenance and repairs.
We currently have a unique opportunity available for an ILS Engineer to join our team based at our Bendigo site. The focus of this role will be to provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) engineering and analysis expertise to support system documentation and training solutions. In addition to this as an ILS subject matter expert, this role will be active in participating in the development of any ILS plans and deliverables for our products and services as part of any bids and proposals, in service monitoring and product development activities.
To be successful in this role you are ideally degree qualified as an engineer (electrical, systems, mechanical). You will also have expertise in either technical publications, training or supply support (eg spares provisioning and obsolescence, predictive maintenance and analysis). Your experience to date includes working in a large organisation associated with the delivering of maintenance, engineering and logistics support services. To be successful you will also be able to clearly demonstrate experience in creating and editing technical publications. You have a high level of interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Any previous experience or involvement in defence projects would be highly regarded.
Special Requirements: You must be eligible for a defence security clearance. This role may also have occasional travel within Australia and also overseas.
