Thales USA is looking for Immigration/Mobility Specialist. Our department deals with international assignments, relocation and immigration and covers all entities of the Thales in the US.

They will support the primary US International Mobility contact to improve and implement programs, policies, and administration of the global mobility program in order to meet Thales in the US business needs.

In this role as an Immigration/Mobility Specialist, partnering with Recruiting and HR Business Partners to develop individual strategies to meet immigration, hiring and global mobility needs within the US will be essential. They will serve as the "immigration expert" responsible for procurement of work authorization and management of individual immigration case needs and will work closely with external immigration law firm to ensure high degree of timeliness and accuracy on all immigration matters. They will process US in-bound immigration (e.g. L, H-1B, TN, E-3, E-2 and Permanent Resident applications). Will also lead yearly cap H-1B filing process, as well as serve as main point of contact for F-1/J-1 visa holders. Will track expiration dates and management of necessary extensions/amendments to ensure valid, continuous work authorization.

Key Responsibilities

· Day to day administration of U.S. Immigration matters
· Receives, processes and submits all non-immigrant and immigrant petitions to our contracted law firm
· Communicate on a daily basis with employees regarding all stages of their non-immigrant and immigrant status (including documentation, case strategy, case progression)
· Continually review immigration procedures and legal status of employees
· Coordinates, initiates and manages immigration cases with our outside legal service provider to ensure compliance, optimal process timeline and maximum efficiency
· Develops and disseminates information materials and trainings to supervisor and foreign nationals' employees on non-immigrant processes.
· Day to day administration of U.S. Immigration matters
· Receives, processes and submits all non-immigrant and immigrant petitions to our contracted law firm
· Assist with processing/coding invoices related to international mobility
· Coordinate relocation and expat activity as assigned by US International Mobility Manager
· Support finalization of green card and immigration policies
· Conduct foreign national orientations for new starters in the US
· Develop “new to the US” information portal for expats and foreign nationals
· Support the US International Mobility Manager with mobility case load as needed

Required Skill and Experience

· Minimum of 3 years' experience Human Resources related experience
· At least 2 years exposure to immigration temporary work visas, permanent residency processes, I9 compliance
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve outstanding issues
· Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive, confidential information
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and influencing skills
· Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail
· Desire to interact with individuals from other countries and cultures and provide excellent customer service
· Proven ability to work efficiently both independently and as a contributing member of the Human Resources global team and various other internal departments
· High levels of flexibility and time management. Ability and willingness to accommodate calls with different time zones
· Ability to manage cases and work with strict time-lines
· Ability to effectively interface with all level of employees
· Experience with data management; Workday and KPMG Link Enterprise experience is a plus.
· Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft office programs (excel, word, power point, visio)
