As an IFE Maintenance Technician based at London Heathrow working shift cycles, you will work on and manage the daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events for aircraft equipped with Thales in-flight entertainment systems (IFE). Coordinate with airline and Thales personnel to ensure all maintenance issues are resolved to the highest levels of customer satisfaction. In this role you will form part of a team of other Technicians and licensed engineers who service and maintain the extensive Thales fleet.

Key responsibilities

· Inform Thales and the airline team of events that have occurred in-flight.
· Help aircraft technicians to prioritise the daily workload
· Meet, greet and dispatch all aircraft whilst on shift
· Implement processes for identifying accurate material/spares requirements and quantities to support aircraft maintenance
· Carry out maintenance activities on aircraft in accordance with approved documentation
· Support the technical team in capturing and investigating issues seen in service
· Support management in the continuous improvement of maintenance activities.
Skills, qualifications and experience

· Experienced in a customer service role or technical support within the aviation industry, possessing good airmanship qualities
· Qualified in aviation line maintenance operation and knowledge of IFE would be advantageous
· Mechanically minded, computer literate and ONC, NVQ, C&G qualified, ideally progressing towards modules Pt 66 or A licence
· Possess a high level of computer competency
· Desirable to have forecasting and work planning experience
· Excellent verbal and written technical communication
· Driving licence.
