WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A ( IFE) FIELD SERVICES ENGINEER TO JOIN THE THALES (IFE) TEAM IN RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA

The IFE Field Services Engineer will reports to IFE Head of Support and operation in KSA. The jobholder is accountable to provide day to day on-site technical support and services to ensure proper operations and maintenance of the Inflight entertainment/connectivity systems to customer and Thales field and Irvine teams. He will be responsible for analyzing system data (including BITE, Repair data & Line Maintenance records) in order to identify areas of concern and provide recommendations to improve overall reliability. He will be working in close coordination with customer Engineering and Line maintenance organization following the Full-time and/or shifts pattern (including night shifts).

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide timely in-airline and on-wing support on Thales IFE system in terms of
· Software & Content upgrades
· In-service fault finding and complex diagnosis
· Supporting the implementation of corrective actions
· Entry-into-service support
· Fly-along support
· Retrofits support
· Conduct investigations on the installed systems to assist and provide basic guidance to the Airline personnel in troubleshooting the system.
· Provide information and communications to customers for proper operation and/or good understanding of issues.
· Provide value-added feedback to Thales Avionics Inc team in terms of issues encountered, analysis results and possible improvement plan.
· Analyze BITE, Repair data & Line Maintenance records to identify areas of concern and provide recommendations to improve overall reliability.
· Assist/train Airline personnel in downloading of system and LRU software, Content loading, maintenance functions and other related items.
· Provide adequate tracking, reporting and visibility on issues relative to product performance.
· Regular communications with Customer Support Manager, Thales Airline Operations Center and Thales Program/Engineering to ensure all parties are regularly informed of status, challenges and accomplishments.
· Ensure the correct software; hardware and database are installed on the aircraft.
· Prioritizes tasks based on rapidly changing conditions, meets deadlines and supports team members as needed.
· Work with field team in providing all the support required by the customers including training, documentation, test equipment and logistics matters.
· Where necessary, conduct on-job training to Junior FSEs, Customer Engineering and Maintenance and Cabin Crew.
· Provide guidance and advice to Thales field and Irvine teams on customer situation and actions required.
· Support and work towards the organizational, team as well as individual objectives
· Maintain a professional, positive and constructive relationship with the customers as well as internal Thales team members.
· Adaptability and flexibility regarding working out of hours/weekends/off duty days to support the Airline Operator is essential to the position. Aircraft schedule dictates hours required.
· Be able to travel on short notice to support customer locations (primarily domestic) sometimes for extended periods.
· Some short notice travels may be required to support fly alongs and activities at Thales Irvine.
· Keeps himself updated on new Technical Notices, Quality Notices issued, general and technical information.
· Accepts appropriate training that will enable a more effective contribution.
· Understands and complies with all Aviation Legal, Safety and Health regulations.
· Maintain site office in clean and safe conditions, and support equipment/tools in a serviceable condition as required. Reports any abnormalities to his supervisor.
· As appropriate, wear equipment provided by the company for health and safety reasons, and promote corporate image.
Skills and Experience:

· Diploma/Degree in Engineering and/or Apprentice in Aircraft maintenance.
· Minimum of 03 years of experience in Aviation / Telecommunication Industry preferably in Engineering and/or Aircraft maintenance (preferably Avionics and/or IFE).
· Junior Field Services Engineers with 02 years of experience are also welcome to apply.
· Capability to comprehend and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals and to comprehend and follow verbal instruction.
· Knowledge of reading aviation documents such as ICD, AMM, IPC, WDM, SCM preferable.
· Knowledge of electrical/electronic and digital networks. Ability to troubleshoot complex networks.
· Valid driver's license required.
· Must pass extensive security, and background checks.
· Must be available to work in shifts.
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
· Good oral and written skills in English.
· Good knowledge in Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Access)
· Good computer skills.
· Knowledge of Linux OS.
