Position Title: Hardware Tools Engineer Intern

Duration: 12-16 Months (September start)

Department: Hardware Engineering

Location: Toronto (Don Mills/York Mills)

Job Purpose:

To provide support in the design and integration of various hardware tools used for software development.

This position will allow you to get in touch with the exciting world of urban transit. In this position you will be able to see the processes utilized when developing products in an engineering environment.

Key Job Functions:

· Support the hardware design of simulation systems.
· Create Bills of Materials.
· Participate in the hardware/software integration activities.
· Create Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures.
· Participate in the design review meetings.
· Support the Hardware Product Design Group.

Basic Skill Level Requirements:

The successful candidate should be working towards an Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or Engineering Physics degree, possess good written and oral communication skills, familiarity with project work environment.

· Knowledge of the electrical component key characteristics (Transistor, Resistor, Capacitor, Zener Diode, Rectifier Diode, Digital Logic, LED, etc).
· Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
· Ability to create test scripts.
· Ability to work independently and multi-task.
