Galileo INT Chain IVQ Engineer - Thales Alenia Space (m/f)

We are currently looking for an Integration Verification and Qualification (IVQ) Engineer with a software or system engineering background to support the Galileo program team within Thales Alenia Space Deutschland. The INT Chain IVQ Engineer will be part of the team that is responsible to prove the qualification status of the Galileo Ground Mission Segment (GMS) towards the customer.

Job Responsibilities
· Generation of test procedures that fulfil the segment requirements
· Execution of tests in formal conditions witnessed by end customer, production of test report
· Responsible for the configuration of the classified test platform and update of configuration database
· Support the preparation of test readiness reviews with the customer
· Contribute to, maintain and extend the test environment and tools
· Identification and follow-up of system anomalies arising from test and integration activities
· Installation and configuration of software and hardware deliveries
· Support onsite integration in the Galileo Control Centres in Fucino (Italy) and Oberpfaffenhofen (Germany)
· Support acceptance tests at the element providers location

Qualification / Profile
· Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science, …)
· Proven experience of 3-5 years in integration and verification testing of medium and large hardware and software systems; experience in classified systems verification would be an advantage
· Knowledge in technical software development and related programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, scripting); Linux, XML and MySQL/Oracle
· Proven experience in network configuration and architecture, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, switch configuration
· General knowledge of ground and space architecture concepts beneficial
· "Team player", self-motivated, self-sustained working style
· MS Office, DOORS, JIRA beneficial
· Fluent in English language (spoken and written), German and French an advantage
