Thales Protected Vehicles develops vehicle products to meet specific requirements not catered for elsewhere. These include both the Hawkei and the Bushmaster platforms, both of which have been instrumental in creating new types of protected vehicles. Both the Hawkei and Bushmaster platforms are manufactured in Bendigo, Victoria with a Services and Support facility located in Eagle Farm and Townsville, Queensland.

Our product and services range includes both the Hawkei and Bushmaster Protected Vehicles, survivability enhancement kits, engineering support services and vehicle maintenance and repair. The Protected Vehicles Services and Support business is focussed on a strategic approach to growth, innovation and development of Services and Support capabilities to optimise total cost of product ownership, improve commercial performance, enhance customer service and foster a safe and harmonious work environment.

Due to a significant ramp up in project activity, we are currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced engineering professionals to join our Protected Vehicles team in Eagle Farm, Queensland.

We are keen to hear from the following:

· Mechanical/Design Engineers
· Project Engineer
· Systems Engineers
· System Engineering Managers

Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

· Degree qualified in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronic)
· Solid understanding of engineering processes and standards
· Experience in vehicle design and integration
· Previous automotive experience would be beneficial
· Previous experience working on Defence related projects would be advantageous
· Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to lead and influence stakeholders on critical issues

Special Requirements: You must be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
