About the Business
The Thales Australia Maritime business offers repair, maintenance and Asset Management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. Asset Management Services, a section within Maritime, provides a range of through Life Support Services in support of the Australian Huon Class Minehunter ships, Armidale Class Patrol Boats and other specialised consultancy services. With an expanding portfolio of projects on the horizon and the opportunity to be part of a diverse business, our Asset Management Services team has the variety to challenge you.
The Opportunity
We are soon to commence a significant in-service support program to maintain a critical resource for our primary customer, the Royal Australian Navy. As our Configuration Management Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of configuration records and the traceability and history associated with the program. You will play a hands on role in the coordination of configuration activities, maintaining document control systems and adhering to rigorous processes to ensure compliance with required standards.
About You
· Relevant tertiary qualification (Business Administration or similar), ideally coupled with previous experience in a similar configuration management role
· Strong computer skills with previous database systems experience and MS Office competencies
· Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and related manuals
· Well-developed organisational and prioritising skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
· High attention to detail, rigorous approach to tasks and an analytical mindset
· Those with an understanding of Defence maintenance processes be viewed favourably
Special Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance and to access information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
