As the Cognos TM1 Developer based in London, you will design and develop an integrated solution to support the delivery of internal & external reporting services for Thales Ground Transportation Systems (GTS). The role is following on from an existing implementation of TM1 within the business as this is now going into the 2nd phase of the development. This is an exciting opportunity to join as TM1 is growing in Thales, the GTS model is going to be used across the UK and the role will only evolve.

Key responsibilities

·  Development and administration of Cognos TM1 solutions and BI reporting
·  Development of cubes/ rules/TI processes/excel macros and maintenance of TM1 security
·  Automate TM1 processes and follow best practice, ensuring that TM1 server performance expectations are met
·  Ensuring accuracy and integrity of UK TM1 model
·  Conduct data investigations and assist Info Hub performance analyst with complex data analysis.
·  Address production issues within Cognos TM1 and BI environments.
·  Provide TM1 application implementation support; liaising with TM1 design architects in supporting the implementation of new TM1 models to ensure a consistent approach; BI Applications upgrade (Evaluating and testing / Non-TM1 source interface testing/ Planning, Training and Delivery)
·  Provide documentation, communication, training and coaching across the UK.
·  TM1 reporting improvements – In conjunction with GTS Info Hub analysts, identify, document and validate business reporting requirements.



Skills, qualifications and experience

·  Experience in business analytics role preferably in a large complex project based organisation, with proven history of implementing integrated TM1 models (end-to-end)
·  Expert knowledge of IBM TM1, specifically performance modeller and ideally IBM Cognos BI
·  Bachelor's degree preferably in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience
·  Data warehousing concepts and OLAP
·  Hands on with design and development of TM1 Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting
·  Exposure to wider non-finance business systems including HR, payroll, procurement and project management applications would be desirable
·  Excellent change management, planning and organising skills
·  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the analysis and interpretation of data with the capacity to devise and implement solutions.
·  Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
