We are currently looking for a Business Process Engineer for BPM, and Digital Operations to join the Thales ASW team in Piscataway, NJ .

Business Process Engineer for BPM (Business Process Management) and Digital Operations, you will help define requirements and solutions to resolve business-related problems, and meet strategic organizational goals. You have experience challenging the status quo, eroding fixed silo-based processes and systems, and promoting a digitally enabled culture that successfully drives business and organizational transformation and improvement. You serve a role in selection, implementation and support of new and existing technology that enables business growth and efficiency. You are responsible for managing a portfolio of performance improvement projects within Operations organization and guaranteeing coherence of the deployment of the business related processes. You love complex situations, have rock-solid and proven project management leadership track record, and are gifted with outstanding problem solving skills. You are able to connect and build productive relationships at all levels of the organization. This is an internal consulting role and is part of a global support network, having high degree of collaboration with functions across the business in US, France and Asia. The success of this position is highly dependant on cross-functional collaboration and process improvement skills. The position directly supports Aerospace Services World-wide (ASW) Operations activities based out of Piscataway, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

11. You will work with internal clients, from executive management to frontline supervisors/production personnel “on-the floor”, coaching them how to drive performance, and utilizing skills across continuous improvement, management consulting, project management, and digital transformation.

2. You will successfully define & deliver projects in accordance with established budgets, work-plans, quality standards, and timeframes.

3. You will lead and conduct interviews of management and users to understand complex business issues, formulate them into specific business requirements and processes, develop clear and concise functional specifications, and deliver solutions that bring value to the business.

4. You are an expert on Business Process Engineering, acting as a guiding beacon towards Operational Excellence.

5. You act as a digital evangelist to advise internal stakeholders on recommended solutions and help them size scope of work for implementation, in line with internal best practices.

6. You utilize lean-six sigma/continuous improvement skills to identify process improvement strategies that result in cost savings and customer satisfaction improvements.

7. You are eager to learn new concepts and are open to the ever changing needs of the new digital world whatever that may mean over the years to come.

8. You support data driven decision making for internal and external customers.

9. You demonstrate excellent skills in analyzing data & producing management presentations.

10. You design & automate processes to allow end users to be more productive in their jobs.

11. You communicate very well with all levels of personnel, possess strategic and tactical thinking, and are adept at building strong working relationships with coworkers and management.

12. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Visio, Project and PowerPoint

13. You are a talented problem solver able to think “outside the box.”

Required Skills and Experience:


Education/Training/Work Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 3 years' experience with business operations or systems development, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation, Electronics and/or sales background helpful. 2+ years of project management experience. 2+ years of Lean and Six Sigma experience (Six-Sigma Green Belt or higher is a plus). Prior management consulting experience is a plus. Knowledge of aviation industry and terminology a plus.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

Excellent oral, written, communication, analytical and planning skills. Functional knowledge of SAP and Business Analytics is a plus. Ability to understandElectronic Data Interface (EDI) networks. Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations. Understanding of company products and aerospace market. Ability to train others. Must work well in developing relationships with other departments within organization. Accuracy, attention to details and consistency in work.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

General office environment; some stress may occur. This position will travel to other facilities to support collaborative business activities international or within the US.
