Job description

Our site at Brize Norton is based on the RAF base and we provide both classroom based training and flight simulator training to RAF personnel across a number of aircraft platforms including the A400M. Due to retirement we are now looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a background in electronics, to maintain the A400M Synthetic Training Equipment (STE) and Classroom equipment. As an A400M Maintenance Engineer you will support, service and repair the equipment in line with our contractual agreement and Key performance Indicators (KPI's). We are looking for talented and driven individuals with the ability to work in partnership with our customer and both achieve and exceed expectations.

Key Duties:

· Perform Planned Maintenance Programmes (PMPs) for the STE and Classroom equipment
· Conduct all preventative maintenance activities in accordance with the PMPs for the STE and Classroom equipment.
· Ensure maintenance activities are recorded and tracked.
· Ensure Service Failures and Facility Deficiencies relating to Facility, STE and Classroom equipment are recorded and logged.
· Ensure the inventory management system is maintained and updated to monitor the use of spares and their repair cycles.
· Ensure software backup, recovery process, cloning and storage of Software is carried out in accordance with the A400M Contract.
· Ensure support is provided to the RAF in performing the annual validation checks of the STE.
· Incorporation into the delivered Terrain Data Bases, updates to the visual databases.
· Ensure consumables are replenished when required, in accordance with the respective STE manufacturer processes for consumable replenishment.
· Ensuring maintenance, testing and operation of the STE and Classroom equipment is carried out in accordance with regulations and by qualified employees:
· Ensure no unauthorised modifications are carried out on any equipment under their control. Skills and experience required:

· Background in electronics is essential
· Experience working in the avionics or simulator industry
· Able to work shifts to provide out of hours support for the facilities, including nights and occasional weekends.
· Ideally worked in a customer delivery role with experience interacting with the customer. To Apply:
