We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our team and help build the next generation solutions that can scale with our business growth.

For years, car companies have talked about a future of 'connected cars”. At Tesla, we make it happen. We regularly send over-the-air software updates to our Model S, Model X, Model 3 fleet, seamlessly delivering new features and improvements to our customers. Our mobile applications allow customers to interact with their cars via real-time, low-latency two-way communication. We also build tools for our internal sales, delivery, and service teams. Today, we remotely identify potential vehicle issues before a customer does—and often fix problems remotely, too. To this end, information and product security is of the utmost importance.

Responsibilities:

·  Specify and design solutions that are built on top of scale out architectures. Evaluate and undertake impact analyses on major design options and assess associated risks. Ensure that the system design balances functional, quality, security, and systems management requirements. ​
·  Lead proof of concepts and development of evaluation matrix through final recommendation, including hands-on execution where needed. ​
·  Define, maintain, and manage architecture models, frameworks and artifacts (e.g. current and future state application architecture diagrams, data models, etc.). ​
·  Perform root-cause analysis of complex issues ranging through hardware, operating system, application, network, and information security platforms while working closely with a variety of infrastructure teams and business users to quickly arrive at inventive and long-term solutions. ​
·  Initiate communications between key contributors and stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact for cross-functional solution architecture. Facilitate open communication and discussion between stakeholders. ​
·  Understand corporate data requirements (financial, legal, engineering, management), data models, and apply data analysis, and quality assurance techniques to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components in and across business areas/applications of expertise.
·  Contribute to solution scoping and effort sizing with cross-functional teams. ​
·  Stay informed on technology trends and product roadmaps to make strategic solution architecture recommendations.

Desired profile

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar work experience.
·  Direct experience with both the frontend and backend of custom applications with evidence of exceptional ability
·  Experience building cloud native custom applications.
·  Experience with high throughput data pipeline ingestion and transformation
·  Strong knowledge and Integration components for APIs, Web Services
·  Strong understanding of agile methodologies
·  Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
·  Solid understanding of High Availability, Systems Design, Architecture, Cloud Technologies, Databases, Open Source and Web technologies.
·  Verifiable track record of deployment of large scale systems.
·  Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels.
