The Role
The North Asia Regional Sales Trainer is responsible for Japan and Korea countries with a career path leading to supervise additional geography in the future. This position will support to diffuse the Tesla Culture across the retail organization, identify training needs , develop instructor-led and self-paced training programs, and facilitate training in-store. Additionally, this position will regularly review the content and adjust to maximize participation, engagement, satisfaction, and participant job readiness. Training needs will vary from sales technics implementation, customer experience, financial products and product specifications related (excluding repair & maintenance related topics). The sales trainer will at times support Learning & Development activities in close collaboration with the HR group.
Responsibilities
· Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine training needs and invite their feedback during the development process.
· Establish clear objectives for workshops and activities, and communicate objectives to stakeholders and participants
· Establish and enforce a classroom code of conduct to maintain a positive learning environment
· Deliver training in both classroom, in-store and distance learning settings. Flex facilitation style for various types of delivery channels. Programs include: Onboarding, Soft Skills, Product Knowledge, Systems, Process, and Management training.
· Execute knowledge-checks and role-plays to validate learning. Provide side-by-side feedback and coaching. Communicate organizational updates and information to the delivery organization with an understanding of what is relevant and important to their business.
· Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and hands on activities that provides participants the opportunity to observe, question, and interact with each other and the content delivered
· Identify, select, and modify workshop content to meet the needs of the audience with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
· Design and administer post-training surveys to evaluate effectiveness and deliver reports to management.
· Maintain course completion records
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, plus relevant experience in learning and development
· Previous experience developing content and training in a customer service or sales support environment. Premium Retail background preferred.
· Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
· Fluency in both oral and written English, Korean language
· Ability to speak Japanese is a plus
· Ability to evaluate student, manager, and instructor feedback and metrics in order to identify potential areas of improvement for assigned product line.
· Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
· Ability to work effectively on global and virtual teams, and accommodate time differences.
· Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (Japan / Korea / US)
· User experience with both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pages, and Keynote.
