Position: Process Engineer, Gigafactory

Responsibilities:

·  Use of Standard Time Data to setup the initial system process to meet the target TAKT time per station.
·  Implement and support Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
·  Manufacturing line layout to optimize quality and through-put with considerations for tool and material presentation
·  Perform line balance and time studies on production lines
·  Develop Material Pick Strategies that support the production operator: kits, minomi, set-part-strategy
·  Maintain Operational Method Sheets, routings, and associated processes.
·  Participate in the transition of a product from concept to pilot line production.
·  Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, tooling, assembly fixtures and procedures.
·  Develop and validate processes used in manufacturing.
·  Analyze and disposition component defects as member of the Material Review Board
·  Structure Bill of Materials with regard to how product assembly and test plan.
·  Assist in the training of operators as needed.
