The Role:

We are looking for a PKI Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation solutions that can scale with our business growth.

Responsibilities:

·  Help operate and participate to the expansion of the PKI infrastructure at Tesla
·  Specify, design, and build new services that support the various uses of the Tesla PKI infrastructure, such as certificate issuance, lifecycle management, registration authorities and monitoring.
·  Ensure timely delivery of digital certificates used for securing and encrypting data in transit for users, systems and applications.
·  Support business lines for the integration and deployment of certificates for authentication, signature for both corporate and engineering uses.
·  Keeping all procedural documentation and operating procedures up to date for the management and security of hardware and software using cryptographic keys. This includes policies, standards, configuration scripts, system diagrams, inventories, and troubleshooting steps.
·  Administration of PKI infrastructure. This includes patching, archiving, backups and recovery testing, evaluating system upgrades and enhancements.
·  Consulting with business, project and technical teams on requirements for employing cryptographic capabilities and leveraging encryption services.
·  Contribute to solution scoping and effort sizing with cross-functional teams. ​

Desired profile

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar work experience.
·  Must have implemented and supported a PKI infrastructure in a large, complex environment.
·  Expertise in the understanding of PKI concepts (infrastructure & architecture)
·  Experience implementing PKI in software engineering environments.
·  Experience integrating HSM solutions in corporate and software engineering environments.
·  HSM maintenance and operational experience.
·  Coding/Scripting experience with common languages.
·  Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
·  Solid understanding of High Availability, Systems Design, Architecture, Cloud Technologies, Databases, Open Source and Web technologies.
·  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
