PCB Layout Designer

Job description

THE ROLE

Tesla is looking for an Altium Vault Librarian / PCB Layout Designer to work on sophisticated automotive electronic products for mass production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Create Altium schematic symbols

·       Create Altium pc board footprints

·       Create Altium 3-Dimensional component shape files using information from supplier data sheets, design engineer provided information and board fabricator/contract manufacturer inputs, as available

·       Use SolidWorks to create 3-Dimensional component shape files when not otherwise available.

·       PCB layout work using Altium when Vault workload allows or other business needs direct

·       PC board file generation and upload to Enovia

REQUIREMENTS

·       At least six months of experience with creating Altium Vault component files for pc board layouts

·       Some familiarity with PC board layouts using Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, or Eagle PC board design software with a preference for Altium.

·       Experience with SolidWorks is preferred.

·       Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related is preferred.
