The Role

The Service MRB Inspector will be responsible for receiving and confirming all field return parts from Service Centers and Global MRB Hubs. Other responsibilities include diligently tracking parts, auditing the return data within MRB and the repair concerns. Developing relationships with other cross-functional departments to drive disposition of parts and evaluating the concern versus the return.

Responsibilities

oPerform database transactions to manage the tracking, receiving, storing of failed parts

oTechnical mindset with a focus on first level diagnostics and attention to detail

oSystematically marking parts special interest for expedited return to engineers and technicians

oRoute parts back to Supplier Quality, Engineering, or Remanufacturing based on guidance and instructions

oMaintain data integrity, accuracy and efficiency of returned parts by visually and systematically logging information

oRoot cause investigation/resolution of daily service or database and systematic issues

oProvide data input and output reports to assist in service improvement activities.

oConduct audits and support corrective actions based on return cause, corrective or correction data

oProvide mechanical measurement support to identify or solve potential material issues

oDrive objectives and make judgment calls with safety, quality, and performance always in mind

oMaintains 5S and MRB best practices

Qualifications

oAbility to familiarize with the WarpMRB database systems such as WarpSO and WarpDrive

oWorking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

oTechnical background and troubleshooting knowledge

oStrong communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships across various organizations within Tesla

oAbility to work independently and keep on task in a fast-paced environment without direct Supervision

oMust be detail orientated, reliable, have good initiative, determination, and quality focused

oAbility to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods

oAbility to lift and move 30-50 lbs on a daily basis

oAbility to maintain a safe working environment

oValid driver’s license and ability to drive a light truck and a forklift
