Material Handler, Lathrop Supercharger

The Role

We are currently hiring a goal-oriented Material Handler in Lathrop, CA. This individual will be driven to succeed and will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of the parts distribution warehouse. This will include assisting production and engineering groups by locating and acquiring parts from the manufacturers cataloguing system, and supporting production by conveying inventory to manufacturing lines. The Material Handler will also stock and organize parts inventory.  

Responsibilities:

·  Manage space optimization within the distribution center
·  Ensure timely receiving, stocking, picking, packing and shipping of inventory to store locations and external customers
·  Support production by conveying parts between the distribution center and manufacturing lines
·  Communicate with and support management of inventory within the distribution center, including daily control of cycle counts of the distribution center inventor
·  Support commercial invoicing, shipping documentation, and country-of-origin info, as needed, to support international shipping
·  Optimize packaging for all outbound shipments
·  Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies

Requirements:

·  A valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record (subject to review)
·  Robust forklift driving experience, and various other conveyance equipment such as pallet jacks and/or tuggers
·  Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control
·  Warehouse/Material Handling experience in a large manufacturing environment strongly preferred
·  Working knowledge of major inventory systems such as SAP or Oracle
·  Data entry experience required, working knowledge of Excel preferred
·  Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on a regular, repetitive basis
·  Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential
·  Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment with various teams

·  Ability to adhere to Distribution Center business processes and policies
·  Robust organizational skills to manage and track transactional details
