We are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for coordination & administrative activities related to inbound and outbound shipping and inventory management for Tesla’s Infrastructure Service group. This individual will develop and implement a global logistics infrastructure. This dynamic hands-on role requires coordination across many internal and external teams in support of our Global Service organization. Applicants must be self-driven, well organized with a focus on quality and execution.
Responsibilities
· Plan, schedule and manage materials for the delivery of time-critical components.
· Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with demand
· Implement systematic solutions to control inventory flow, minimize shortages and maintain accuracy in ERP system.
· Manage interactions with Parts Distribution Centers
· Be able to set up and create International shipments and Commercial Invoices.
· Manage the service Outbound & Shipping process globally in an optimal way - excellent customer service (high delivery reliability) against low costs
· Coordinate and execute accurate and in-time order processing into the system in order to provide accurate tracking information to the receivers
· Monitor all inbound and outbound delivery schedules
· Manage spares in and out of PDCs
· Assist with inventory control activities and generate and publish metrics of performance.
· Handle goods received
· Prepare daily outbound parts and material shipments suppling just in time delivery to Field Technicians
· Keep a clean and transparent inventory database
· Handle RMA transactions, Inventory management, demand planning with factory, shipping and parts distribution to service techs, MRB
· Support Field Technicians in parts return
Qualifications
· B.S. degree in Engineering/technical discipline or equivalent in exceptional experience
· 3+ years related experience in production control, materials management, production planning, material delivery scheduling, or purchasing
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing or material handling
· Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize deliveries and inventory levels
· Experience with internal or external Warehousing & Distribution partner
· Mastery of Microsoft Office software packages
· Experience with ERP/WMS system
· Customer focused / intrinsic passion to provide excellent service
· Practical, hands on mentality. Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused
· Polished, analytical and engaging possessing excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to plan own time well to maximize effectiveness
· Self-starter with a desire to succeed
· Team player proven work experience within Logistic or Distribution center environment
· Familiarity with international outbound shipping requirements of components via common freight carriers
· Familiar with FedEx and UPS shipping software
· Certified forklift driver
· Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
· Ability to maintain a safe working environment
· Ability to lift 75 lbs.
