The Role

Tesla is currently seeking an IT Manufacturing Support Technician to join our team in Livermore CA. The IT Services position within the IT Operations team will be on the front lines of Tesla Motors’ IT manufacturing support. IT Manufacturing Support Technician will be the face of IT for internal customers. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations for Tesla’s global IT infrastructure to provide for the growth of Tesla’s initiatives. These duties will be performed in compliance with policy guidelines and within time frames as defined in the team’s SLAs and/or project requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day IT technical support for a busy manufacturing environment, supporting IT equipment, such as touchscreen computers, scanners, Zebra printers, HMI devices, etc .

Requirements

· Experience support manufacturing environments

· Experience supporting manufacturing hardware

· Experience with editing and managing group policy

· Ability to walk a few kilometers a day at work

· Ability to crawl and move around tools and equipment

· Ability to respond quickly to issues

· Experience managing print servers

· Experience creating desktop images

· Knowledge of Windows environment and computer hardware and software

· Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to details with excellent follow up

· Travel to and from Tesla offices both domestically and internationally required
