Tesla is seeking a Field Manager and they will be responsible for providing technicians with training opportunities, following up on open cases, managing schedules, and fulfilling preventative maintenance obligations. The Field Manager will be responsible for post installation service work as it relates to performance and system uptime.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  The Field Manager will be directly managing at least 20 Field Service Technicians and will ensure that they are trained and are working in a safe manner
·  Formulate performance improvement plans and makes termination decisions as necessary
·  Interview, select, and train new employees
·  Mentor, evaluate, and develop employees
·  The Regional Field Service Manager will be required to exercise discretion and independent judgment while overseeing the work of the Field Service techs and their successful completion of work orders as they relate to troubleshooting down or underperforming systems
·  Track and report on installation trends resulting in post installation work orders
·  Manage the case load of individual technicians and allocating necessary resources to resolve problems in an expeditious manner
·  Evaluate the work of Field Service Technicians and provide yearly performance reviews
·  Provide necessary “On-boarding” and training resources to Field Service Technicians
·  Work with Engineering and Training departments to ensure corrective actions are taken to avoid future service calls

Desired profile

REQUIREMENTS

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred
·  Will have 2+ years of experience working within maintenance and operations
·  Experience working as a manager of 10 or more people.
·  Ability to manage voluminous amounts of data
·  Experiencing writing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports.
·  Will have 2+ years’ experience creating Scopes of Work for maintenance or electrical services.
·  Recent training and current certification as required in OSHA / NFPA 70E / Safety
·  Experience with PV system commissioning
·  Some amount of experience (or at least exposure) with wireless communication and TCP/IP communication protocol (utilized by SolarCity proprietary Data Acquisition System)
·  Excellent computer skills especially using Excel, Outlook, and Word.
·  Excellent written and verbal skills both from a technical and client facing perspective
·  Excellent customer service skills required
·  Clean DMV printout and valid Driver License
·  Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time within the RFSM territory
·  Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
·  Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
·  Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required based on job responsibilities
