The Role
As Channel Planning Analyst, you will manage statistical forecasts for parts & accessories at Delivery Hubs, Regional Distribution Centers, Service Centers and Body Shops worldwide, design process improvements, and perform data analytics for Global Service Supply Chain Operations. We are the team responsible for forecasting parts and accessories to support Tesla’s customers from factory gate onwards.
You will gather intelligence from Production, Procurement, Logistics, Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering and Field Operations teams to inform your models. You will be a thought leader in developing end-to-end analytics as well as managing the execution of your forecasting models. It is essential that you can think strategically, connect the dots in the bigger picture, and communicate the details of your deliverables. This is a newer role on the team, so to be a successful candidate for this role you be a self-motivated and collaborative individual who is excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
· Manage statistical forecasts for parts & accessories at Delivery Hubs, Regional Distribution Centers, Service Centers and Body Shops worldwide, design process improvements
· Perform data analytics for Global Service Supply Chain Operations.
· Design and monitor forecast metrics at all aggregation levels and provide timely feedback to demand planners.
· Goal 90% forecast accuracy across multiple offset and aggregation KPIs.
· Communicate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering and Field Operations teams to gather data and understand demand drivers.
Desired profile
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.
· 3+ years related experience in planning, materials management, or supply-chain planning in a manufacturing company.
· Strong background and experience in forecasting, advanced planning analytics and data science.
· Proficient in MS Excel required; ERP/WRP systems, SQL, and data visualization programs such as Tableau are preferred.
· Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus.
· Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges.
· Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work.
