The Role

TheSecurityManager is responsible for leading all security operations for a specific shift. The Manager is expected to provide oversight, leadership and direction to all officers assigned to their respective shift. The Manager manages and rates all assigned officers. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for administrative functions of the team, such as auditing post orders, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other various paperwork required of the post(s). Managers work very closely with Quality Control, Safety, Medical, Fire and other groups within the department or partner organizations. Management personnel are exempt positions and must be available to work shifts of varying lengths based on operational necessity.

Responsibilities

·  Know and enforce all Security standard operating procedures among shift personnel
·  Perform patrols, spot checks on Security posts and asset checks
·  Interface with other Security Shift Supervisors and Security Leads to increase efficiency of Security operations
·  Audit and rate the performance of Security team members as appropriate
·  Provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to junior officers
·  Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with Tesla employees, contractors, vendors and other Security staff
·  Solve issues independently with minimal direct guidance
·  Maintain officer schedules and assignments, track and check hours of shift personnel
·  Assist with emergency response for medical, fire or other emergency incidents, insure Security personnel respond appropriately as per standard operating procedures

Desired profile

Requirements

·  3+ years of Security experience
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills highly preferred
·  Ability to walk/stand/sit for up to 12 hours at a time as needed
·  Capable of independent problem solving with minimal supervision preferred
·  Solid experience with access control, CCTV and other security systems experience highly preferred
·  Experience in a Lead or Management capacity highly preferred
·  Solid proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred
·  Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as operational need dictates
·  Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving experience preferred
·  CPR/AED and Basic First Aid Qualifications preferred
