About The Job
Tesco's Property Research team, an exciting team which provides insight to give customers access to Tesco where they want it and how they want it are now seeking a talented International Property GIS Developer & Analyst to join their team!! He / She will be responsible to support in-country Property Research teams through the development, deployment and maintenance of tools and systems, enabling high quality analytical, spatial and data-based insight.

The property team have helped to regenerate a number of communities across the UK by building leisure centres, affordable housing, cinemas, bus depots, libraries, shopping centres and public spaces.
Main Responsibilities
Developing and delivering the analytical, technical and spatial support required by countries to support their strategy for property and the wider business
Developing and updating forecasting tools and models, to support new store growth appraisal, to improve accuracy and to guide property investment decisions for existing stores
Maintaining and improving existing data sources and processes, to make things simpler and more accessible.
Coaching and upskilling in-country analytical teams and HSC colleagues, which in turn builds capability and ensures best practice and methodologies are applied consistently across all teams
Evaluating new and existing data sources to ensure we provide the most effective, reliable and accurate data support to countries
Ideal Candidate
Skills required:
Experience of GIS tools and systems (e.g. MapInfo, ESRI)
Advanced knowledge of SQL, VBA and Access
Experience of statistical packages (e.g. R, SAS) desirable
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience Required:
Understanding of international business and markets
Prior GIS/location planning experience desirable
Experience of working and communicating with teams/individuals across different countries and time zones
