Pharmacy Customer Assistants are the face of Tesco for many of our Health, Beauty & Wellness customers. You'll be meeting and talking to different people who will be looking for you to help them while they are shopping the Health, Beauty & Wellness aisles.

Main Responsibilities

Providing an excellent shopping experience by putting our customers at the heart of everything we do is our main responsibility.

In order to do this your main responsibilities are to ensure:

·  Customers service is welcoming, quick but not rushed by:
·  Smiling and greeting customers
·  Recognising customers that need help and asking them what you can do
·  Acknowledging customers waiting to be served and asking a colleague to help or saying when you'll be with them
·  Thanking customers and saying goodbye

·  Customers are always able to get the products and services they need by:

·  Understanding the customer's needs and using your product knowledge to find the right product or service for them
·  Asking the pharmacist to help if you're unsure what the right product is
·  Helping customer's to locate products at the pharmacy counter and in the aisles
·  Filling gaps on shelves and keeping the aisles well presented

·  Customers are always able to get the advice they need by:

·  Understanding the customer's needs and using your knowledge to give the right advice
·  Asking the pharmacist to help if you're unsure what the right advice is
·  Making customers aware of information on the product packaging, on in shelf displays, in service leaflets and at the information point
·  Ensuring in shelf information displays and service leaflets are in the correct place and full

·  Customers get help handing in and collecting prescriptions and you ask the pharmacist to advise the customer when they need it

The role is hands on and full of variety. No two shifts are ever the same customers look for help in all kinds of different ways. For most of the day you'll feel like your own boss, delivering to your customers on your own, but with a team of managers and colleagues back at base ready to support you when you need them.
