About The Job

Ever wondered how many laps of the M25 all the lettuces sold in Tesco last year could make? Could you work out why strawberries are one of our highest loss products? Are you interested in making a real difference to Tesco's bottom line through your own analysis, spotting patterns in our big data?

Main Responsibilities

There will never be a typical day as a Business Intelligence Analyst that's what makes it so interesting. You'll be part of an office team, working to reduce one of our largest operating costs; theft! One day you'll be trying to work out why thieves steal indigestion tablets, the next you'll be engaging the business on products that are unprofitable to Tesco.

You will combine technical, numerical and interpersonal skills to provide the intelligence that informs the big decisions

Ideal Candidate

·  Degree qualified (minimum 2:1), preferably in a numerical discipline
·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Programming skills are desirable, but an aptitude to learn technical skills quickly would satisfy
·  Data manipulation, cleansing and analysing experience would be beneficial
·  Great verbal and written communication skills
·  Active team member but able to work autonomously
