Votre avenir chez nous ...

Reporting within the R&D department to the Head of New Product & Process Development, you are in charge in your area of expertise  of  leading  applied and basic research activities.

You will be the scientific expert in the area of crystallization, powder technologies and powder characterisation and will follow up technological and scientific developments by reviewing scientific literature and patent publications.  You will build an external network with experts from the academic world, research institutes, start-up companies and suppliers.

You will propose, prepare and present new product or technology development ideas, leading to incremental and breakthrough innovation, for Tereos’ core product lines and its development funnel.

You will lead technological developments, in cross-functional projects, from lab-scale to implementation in the field. You will coordinate the work of lab technicians.

 

 

Vos activités au quotidien ...

Your main tasks are :

- to gather the available and incoming information for new ideas, to evaluate them, to report exploratory results and to translate ideas in new project proposals;

- to propose and monitor work with external partners : private, public and academic;

- to survey disruptive technologies in your field of expertise;

- to execute product & process related innovation projects : project planning, resource allocation, budget planning and follow-up, tasks definition, execution and analysis of results, reporting and organization of technical meetings;

- to manage innovation related projects/activities from lab scale, pilot scale through pre-engineering and commissioning;

- to propose scientific publications, oral presentations, patents and to represent Tereos in your field in external meetings, congresses;

- to plan and follow up the work of lab technicians;

- to execute lab safety audits, to contribute to the implementation of good lab management practices;

 

Your area of expertise is :

- Crystallisation process and technology

- Powder processing and technology : spray drying,  agglomeration, granulation

- Crystal characterisation

- Powder properties : chemical and physical characterization, product formulation

Aujourd'hui, c'est vous ...

The ideal candidate holds a master degree in chemical engineering or  (physico-)chemistry and brings minimum 5 years of academic or industrial experience as research engineer/scientist in the field of crystallization and powder technology related to industrial processes.

 

The candidate will combine strong scientific knowledge with a hands-on approach and will demonstrate the ability to translate theoretical concepts into new product and process developments or advanced analytical tools. The candidate will bring technical and scientific support to the production plants and other departments.

 

The person will have the interpersonal skills to interact with and convince a broad range of stakeholders involved in the innovation process.

The person is a  team player with good communication skills, energy and drive, and a results-oriented approach.
