The Tereos group has created late 2014 a new business unit, called Tereos Commodities, to expand its merchandising and distribution operations in Sugar globally building a new trading team and capabilities headquartered in Geneva.

 

The group, then, expanded its current ethanol and alcohol production and sales operations with a new trading activity including sourcing ethanol and alcohol from other mills. The group has the intent to participate more actively in the value chain both by expanding with time its origination capabilities in countries where we don’t have plants and at destination to capture profitable trade flows and support our customers in their international expansion. 

 

Tereos Commodities has currently 2 main trading desks: one for sugar located in Geneva and one for ethanol located in Paris, which shortly will move to Moussy, next to the CDG Aéroport.

 

The main purposes of Tereos Commodities is to :

·  Find homes for the Group’s exceeding volumes of sugar and ethanol
·  Participate more actively in the value chain by marketing both Tereos and third party sugars and ethanol
·  Manage the interface of the Groups various industrial business units with the world export sugar markets and both the domestic and the exports ethanol markets.
·  Capitalize on the knowledge gained by being involved in the key flows bringing market insights for the group manufacturing BUs and its corporate executives.
·  Support the BUs and the Group on their key arbitrages opportunities and pricing strategies.

Vos activités au quotidien ...

Trading accounting:

o   Preparing and reporting the Daily PL

o   Checking accuracy and completeness of contracts booking and entries

o   Supporting the Ethanol Controller during the monthly closing

o   Preparing closing files and reset of balances

o   Preparing the weekly vendor/customer positions getting ready to be analyzed by Simon

o   BFC booking entries during forecasting phases

o   Participating to the continuous development helping to build some automatic reports for monthly and year end reviews

o   Checking and validation of the broker fees invoices

 

Others :

o   Support to the desk on other developments

o   Participation to the budgets, budgets’s reviews, Medium term plan and closing processes

Aujourd'hui, c'est vous ...

·  Last year in Finance or Business school
·  Experience in the commodities business in a financial function will be a plus
·  Strong personality and confident approach to liaise with different people of the team
·  Systems and process understanding
·  Computer skilled (Microsoft tools)
·  Fluent in English. Bilingual in French will be a plus.
