About the team

Reporting directly into the Head of Financial Accounting you will form part of a highly successful and fast paced team. This role has arisen due to the success and expansion of the business and as such the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to make their mark and form part of an exciting joint venture between two highly successful brands...Tesco & O2.

Your role

As the lead financial accountant for staff overheads, the chosen candidate will have full responsibility for the entire end to end process in regards to staff overheads. You will be highly accountable and a true problem solver who will have the opportunity to own the process and implement real process improvements.

Responsibilities

Ownership of the budgeting and forecasting cycles for all associated costs and headcount requirements

Full end to end responsibility for developing, producing and presenting monthly headcount and overhead management reports.

Full end to end cost centre reporting

Partnering with the business to gather key information and educating the business on staff overhead matters.

Building processes to streamline and improve complex staff allocations.

Demonstrable Experience

The successful candidate will be a finalist/qualified accountant with a strong track record gained in a similar role.
You will have hands on experience completing the full month end cycle including accruals and prepayments, hands on budgeting and forecasting experience as well a some modelling and process improvement experience.

Interpersonally you will be a true self starter, who thrives on making their mark and taking ownership. You will have a strong work ethic, be results driven and will enjoy working with autonomy and part of a work hard play hard team.

Essential Qualifications

A finalist/qualified accountant ( or equivalent)
