Job Title:

Dive Technician (Onshore)

Job Purpose

To maintain and repair as necessary the wide range of diving equipment provided by the Mobile Equipment Department including: diving helmets and umbilical's through to major items of diving plant such as dive controls and deck decompression chambers. To carry out all activity in accordance with current procedures and work instructions or as directed by Mobile Equipment Department Management

Internally:MED Management and Supervisory Staff, Internal Support Staff, Technicians and Apprentices
Externally:TechnipFMC DSV Fleet, 3 rd Party Support Organisations, UKBU Project Teams

Job Scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

Technical:
ยท  To carry out all maintenance activity safely, promptly and accurately in an effort to meet mobilisation target dates
ยท  To assist and advise other personnel on matters relating to diving systems and life support equipment design, fabrication, operation, maintenance and testing
ยท  To assemble, test and certify new systems and life support equipment as required
ยท  To work alongside third parties and contractors as and when required to do so
ยท  To attend away from base and offshore worksite activity as required
ยท  To undertake other technical duties as requested by the Workshop Supervisor

Legislation and guidance:
ยท  To maintain a good working knowledge of current procedures, Industry standards, codes of practice and relevant legislation, including IMCA Guidelines
ยท  To maintain a good working knowledge of TechnipFMC work instructions and procedures, including BMS applicable content

Documentation:
ยท  To raise requisitions as required and submit for approval and subsequent input in the Computerised Purchasing System
ยท  To coordinate certification activity and pass on all completed certification to the Certification and Administration Supervisor for input into the Asset Management System and subsequent archiving
ยท  To carry out service and repair activity in accordance with issued job cards and return complete job cards promptly to the Workshop Supervisor or nominated person
ยท  To propose and review, modification, maintenance and repair procedures

ยท  To abide by TechnipFMC HSE policy always, including conforming to site safety rules
ยท  To abide by TechnipFMC quality policy at all times, including assistance with PUWER assessment completion and reviews
ยท  To maintain a clean and tidy working environment

Typical background and experience required:

Must have:

Standard Secondary school education
Time served apprenticeship
Ability to be self-motivated and work as part of a team

Nice to have:

Understanding of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements associated with life support equipment
Previous certified training relating to the maintenance of life support equipment
Previous experience maintaining life support equipment
Knowledge of commercial diving, diving equipment and diving physics

Main accountabilities:

To responsibly complete assigned daily duties as required by immediate supervisor in order to fulfil TechnipFMC's mission requirements
