What does the role look like?
To deliver a highly professional, customer-focused, fortnightly payroll service and to ensure that the team achieves exceptionally high standards by using both the Payroll and Time and Attendance systems to optimum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure accurate payment of wages in a timely manner

Develop and maintain good working relationships with other departments and with field staff

Encourage the team to deliver excellent standards of customer service

Liaise with the Company’s Payroll software suppliers as required on issues relating to functionality

Actively advocate training and development for self and team

Manage and participate in people management processes such as appraisals

Provide continuation of service in the absence of the Payroll Manager and/or other Payroll staff

To support in the management of all Payroll processing in the department, including but not limited to statutory payments, manual calculations, pensions processing (auto enrolment), reconciling PAYE figures for RTI, and ad hoc reports as required
