Do you love dogs and want to help us build our online community of dog-lovers using social media?

An exciting opportunity for a 3 month internship placement has become available with us at Tailster.com (with the idea that you become permanent after this), a recently (re)launched online marketplace connecting dog owners with other dog lovers who can take their dogs out for walks or take care of them when owners need to be away from home.

We have recently closed a large round of seed funding, as well as having taken investment from ZAG Ventures, who are the venturing arm of one of the most famous creative brand agencies in the world.

The Role:
The role will be a fantastic, hands-on opportunity for a recent graduate or young professional with a passion for dogs to gain invaluable, hands-on experience within a very experienced and nurturing start-up business team, and work with some of the most experienced brand agency creative professionals in London.

The role will include a range of activities that will differ by the day, this may include:

Using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram etc to communicate with and build our audience of dog lovers.

Help us get the word out about www.tailster.com, helping us sign up dog boarders and walkers.

Researching and writing well written blog posts about all the funny and cute dog stories out on the internet, and sharing this content online - you may have seen some of our blog posts with cute dog videos.

Dealing with our customers and sitters/walkers on the phone, by email and by live chat and making sure their experience is a great one.

Coming up with great fun ideas that dog lovers would want to use as part of our website - no idea is a bad idea (unless it's about cats)

You will be part of a growing team of currently 8 dog lovers, and learn a lot on the job. We are based 2 minutes away from Tottenham Court Road tube station.

We want to make the lives of dog owners easy and stress free – helping them find great homes for their pets when they go away, and a better alternative to kennels. We use tech to create some great tools that help sitters and walkers build their business, as well hopefully allowing anyone who wants to earn money taking care of dogs, the opportunity to do so! Desired profile

We would like someone:

Organised and driven with a keen attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to meet objectives, exceed them and grow professionally, without the need of a lot of supervision
Ability to use Word and Excel (and ideally have your own computer)
A positive outlook on life and wanting to give the most wonderful customer service possible, whilst fitting in to our outgoing fun-loving team.

Skills required:

- Social Media skills - social software experience a plus
- Excellent communicator and understanding of brand tone of voice
- Able to write engaging, humorous copy and not be afraid to pick up the phone!
- Be a dog lover, you can even bring your dog into work with you!
