The Department:

Within the organization the DCIM (DataCentre Infrastructure Management) group is responsible for all infrastructure operations, including maintenance and upgrades of our buildings, physical security systems and equipment in order to maintain ‘availability’ to the highest level. This requires you to work in an environment with high quality standards, change management and strict operational procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

Installation, supervision and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and physical security installations

Planning, execution and supervision of maintenance activities

Proactively detect any problems and devise solutions or workarounds

Facility Services in a 24/7 call out roster which means that on regular bases you will have to be available for first line trouble shooting outside normal office hours

Adherence to all Health & Safety policies & procedures

Required Education and Skills:

You have an MBO+ Technical Degree and strong technical skills, preferably in electrical area

3 - 5 years’ experience in a critical environment is a must, preferably in a telecom or (hosting) datacenter environment

You are familiar with typical datacenter infrastructure, like Diesel generators, UPS, switchgear and cooling systems

Good oral and written communication skills (technical English, Dutch is an advantage)

Flexibility towards working hours, willing to work in a 24/7 on-call schedule

Living within 60 minutes from the city of Leiden

Beneficial Education and Skills:

Preferably experience with data cabling, cable management, patching and installing/racking ICT hardware

Able to work in a multi project environment.
