The offered position is for SUEZ E&C (Engineering and Construction), a transversal business of SUEZ dedicated to water treatment infrastructures (potable water plants, desalination plants, wastewater treatment plants, etc.) and waste for the international market. Its broad scope of activities covers areas of design, construction, finance, and operations, providing technical expertise in project management.
We are looking for a Supply Chain Project Manager to support our international projects
Main accountabilities
Is responsible for the purchasing performance in the project and applies all standard levels available through the PSCM Group, while satisfying the quality and schedule requirements of the project.
Supports the Supply Chain Director to define the project resources needs in order to constitutes the team with the input of the Spend and Delivery Manager.
Executes the procurement and supply chain strategy in accordance with the project requirements and identify potential internal and external stakeholders.
Within the project, interacts with Project Management (PM), Proposal Management, Engineering Management & category management.
Identifies, evaluates the Risk & Opportunities for PSCM as well as the risk mitigation options/possibilities.
Contributes to the project RO matrix, ensures the steering, progress & updates.
Operationally in the project, functionally manages the procurement team including buyers, procurement officers, quality and logistic team.
Negotiates and commits to purchases of critical & strategic goods and services, in accordance to the set objectives. Supports buyers’ negotiations when necessary.
Builds the contract with the supplier based on Group templates and negotiation.
Reviews and updates the budget for purchasing & logistics on his/her project. Ensures the application of the supplier relationship management (SRM) on the project under his/her responsibility.
Contributes to the steering of the processes, to its evolution (REX) and guarantees its implementation on his / her scope. Reports on monthly basis to the Business Managers and the Purchasing & Logistics Direction on the project activity and KPIs/ Contributes to the PM Project Report.
Is responsible for enforcing the law, behaving with moral and ethics before the society and all the stakeholders. Ensures that procedures, rules and local standards are applied.
Respects all Group standard policies (H&S, Environment, Ethics…) and compliance with internal reporting rules. Ensures the compliance of the framework agreements with SUEZ constraints.
Projects size and financial commitment:
Projects M, L, XL with a commitment up to 15-60 M€
Projects XL with a commitment over 50 M€
Project complexity (process, client, location, municipal/industrial markets):
Innovative or complex technology and/or Project for export and/or EPC, DBO technology.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s technical degree: Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
3-5 years’ experience as Project Manager in a Purchasing Department, ideally in the water industry but we can consider candidates from oil & gas, energy industry or similar.
Specific training on negotiation skills.
Proven experience managing functional teams.
Acknowledgement of electromechanical equipment.
Languages: Spanish & English is a must; French is a plus.
Hard skills, e.g.: negotiation, planning, cost management & control.
Soft skills, e.g.: contract management, communication skills, willing to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
