Job description
You will join the International Department (DI) of Suez Consulting. DI has a turnover of more than 50M€, realized in EU, Eastern Europe, Asia, Pacific, Africa and Middle East. The projects are mostly financed by international donors (AFD, WB, ADB, EU, EIB...), for which our teams intervene in engineering and consulting of essential services: water & wastewater infrastructures, environment & waste circular economy, urban planning, mobilities, energy transition and economy and governance - mainly in developing and emerging countries.
Suez Consulting supports its customers at every stage of their projects: from the strategic stage, with strategic consultancy and technical assistance, to studies and blueprints, from design and supervision of work to decommissioning and assistance with operations, with expertise in project management, contracting authority support, auditing, and knowledge transfer through training. These missions are fully in line with Suez Consulting efforts to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Based in “Nanterre”, under the responsibility of the Director Africa & Middle East, your mission will be to manage international projects and to some extent contribute to the business development of Suez Consulting.
As a project manager, support and guide project team (including partner and subcontractor) and take overall responsibility for contract management; risk & opportunities management; financial management; and quality assurance of project(s) under your responsibility.
· Coordinate all aspects of project delivery and adherence to workplans, budgets and internal procedures, as per the International Project Management Guidebook
· Participate in key or sensitive meetings with the client/beneficiary, develop strong client relationships and ensures customer satisfaction.
· Provide technical & financial inputs to proposals, related to your field of expertise.
· Participate in the execution of some International Division Projects according to your field of expertise.
· Contribute to the coordination of the internal international network of experts in your field of expertise and potentially strengthen the team.
· Expand personal business networks around identified areas of interest/expertise.
PROFILE
You have a Master's degree or a bachelor degree in Engineering or Management of international projects.
You have at least 3 years' experience in the management of international projects in the fields of water, environment or infrastructure.
You have good interpersonal skills. You are able to communicate in English, both in writing and speaking.
You have a strong team spirit; but you are also able to be autonomous and organised. You are rigorous and responsive. You have good writing skills.
You have the ability to establish and maintain close contact with customers.
